Early January each year, I would compile a list of the new year’s resolution. About 30% of the resolutions on the list would somehow be achieved, which I think is not too bad. Making resolutions every year helped me develop healthier habits.
This year, however, I haven’t yet come up with the full list (as of Jan 20, 2010). So, I will keep adding to the list. Here are what I have now :
- Skip breakfast (or at least eat very lightly) in order to tame my appetite.
- Write a summary every time I finish reading a book.
- Tell bedtime stories to my kids and do it with complete happiness.
- Move my body a lot (e.g., by using the stairs instead of elevators).
- Update Address Book for each new business card.
- Laugh and smile much more than I barely manage to do. (Start with reading Erma Bombeck)
- Continue to keep the workspace clean.
- Continue to carry less stuff in my bag.
