life is short

Life is short. Do I really have time to learn new tools and tricks, such as InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, GarageBand, Aperture, Final Cut Pro, CSS, SQL and so on?

But, is it really possible for me, as a professional, to offer any value to the society without learning new tricks along the way? Are my existing talents and knowledge sufficient to make earnings for the rest of my life?

Perhaps it is matter of focus and selection. I need to carefully choose one or two that matter the most out of all my tangential interests and outbound curiosities.
