I started listening to the audiobook version of The Emperor of All Maladies: A Biography of Cancer. The author Siddhartha Mukherjee (born 1970) is an Indian-born American physician, scientist and writer. This book earned him a Pulitzer Prize in 2011. The book begins with the portrayal of the historical background of cancer. The storytelling is highly engaging and the content very informative. Recommended. *While enjoying this book, I am also looking forward to the imminent release of Atul Gawande’s new book Being Mortal: Medicine and What Matters in the End, which is due tomorrow (Oct 7, 2014).]]>
