the ultimate irrelevance of achievement and the significance of relationship

Matthew 25:31-46, it is shown to us that, on the judgment day, our individual achievement, such as how many books we have written, how much accolades we have accrued, or how far we have reached in terms of professional excellence, does not really matter. Instead, what ultimately matters is our relational and behavioural state of being, as represented by what our existence have meant for those around us who were in rather sorry situation. Those who were cold, sick, hungry, or thirsty. Or, those who felt lonely and vulnerable because they were considered as strangers. Those who are recognized and honored at the end are those who has had healthy disregard for self while maintaining caring attention and compassion towards others. How simple is that.]]>
